HomelessnessHQ is a professional intelligence platform built for everyone working in the homelessness response field. We aggregate daily news, synthesize policy research, and deliver career-grade training in one place.
The Mission
Professionals in this field juggle HUD policy updates, HMIS compliance changes, funding deadlines, research from a dozen think tanks, and training requirements across multiple programs. That information has never lived in one place, and it has never been organized for the people doing the actual work.
HomelessnessHQ changes that. We pull from more than a dozen trusted sources every day, summarize what matters, surface funding opportunities before deadlines pass, and pair it all with structured training that covers every role in the continuum of care.
This is professional-grade tooling for a field that has long deserved it.
What We Do
We monitor and curate content from 14 trusted sources daily. NOFO deadlines, policy changes, research findings, and advocacy updates land in one feed, organized and searchable.
Structured courses built for CoC staff, case managers, HMIS coordinators, housing providers, and program leaders. Content covers everything from foundational concepts to advanced data reporting and compliance.
Reference tools, funding calendars, and operational guides built around how this field actually works. Less searching. More doing.
Who We Serve
HomelessnessHQ launched in partnership with the PromisSE network, a coalition of 13 Continuums of Care across Florida and Alabama working toward coordinated, data-driven responses to homelessness.
The platform serves everyone who touches homelessness: CoC staff, case managers, HMIS coordinators, housing providers, law enforcement, government agencies, researchers, advocates, and concerned citizens who want to stay informed and prepared.
The long-term goal is sector-wide: anyone working in or alongside the homelessness response system, anywhere in the country, should be able to use HomelessnessHQ as their daily intelligence feed and training platform.

Origin
Eric Layton is the systems administrator and data lead for FL-506 Big Bend Continuum of Care in Tallahassee, Florida. Working inside a CoC made the problem obvious: professionals across the field were operating without a central source of current information, structured training, or tools that matched the complexity of what the job actually requires.
HomelessnessHQ is the answer to that problem. It is built to operate at the same level of quality you would expect from a professional intelligence platform in any other sector, delivered specifically for homelessness response.
